Currently, emissions and energy savings are important to cope with increasing gas and fuel prices, greenhouse effect and stricter emission laws. The idea of the Training Module is to help institutions, such as the Spanish Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving known as IDAE (Instituto para la Diversificación y Ahorro de la Energía de España), to speed up the calculation of these savings by using the StreamSAVE methodologies.
During the Workshop of the Training Module, CIRCE guided all IDAE members to do the calculations following the Small-Scale RES Priority Action, focusing on Heat Pumps methodology. In this way, the aim was to encourage them to use it, resolve any doubts that might arise and receive feedback from experts in the field of energy.
As some of the members say, there is a lot of work to be done on small scale renewable energies, especially Heat Pumps, and this platform and methodologies are a useful tool that could save them all the work it takes to standardize some of the values.
